Three leading members of the VIPS (Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity), former CIA officials Ray McGovern and Graham Fuller, and former U.S. Army colonel (and chief of staff to Secretary of State of State Colin Powell) Larry Wilkerson, all of whom have been speakers in the weekly meetings of the International Peace Coalition, joined forces on the “Dialogue Works” internet broadcast run by Nima Alkhorshid to respond to the new “plan” announced by Trump and Netanyahu to drive the Palestinians out from Gaza and have the U.S. take it over and build it into a “Riviera” for the elite.
All three expressed their disgust at the policy, openly comparing it to Hitler’s anti-human genocidal policies, and warning that the populations of the world must stand up and stop it, or go down in history as the most evil empire in history. McGovern said: “We must stand up against this, or be like the Germans in 1933, who caved in to Hitler—this could happen to our country.”
Wilkerson said that the sight of Netanyahu smirking next to Trump, while Trump was praising the slaughter of thousands of innocents, sitting next to the person who had done it, was appropriate, since it was the U.S. that had made it happen. It expresses the “disgusting state of the Empire,” Wilkerson said.
Fuller said none of the Arab countries will accept this, and if the U.S. forces them to take Palestinians driven out of their country, or cuts off all funding, the governments will collapse, although he thinks that is so extreme that it could bring the Arab nations together.
There were many other issues discussed over an hour and 40 minutes by this august group of intelligence professionals.
