U.S. Supreme Court Pauses Lower Court Order for Trump To Restore International Funding

U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts issued an order pausing a lower court’s demand that Trump undo his pauses to foreign spending. Just the day before, Feb. 25, Washington, D.C., District Court had ordered the administration to restore some $2 billion in funding by the end of the day on Feb. 26—i.e., in less than 48 hours.

The Supreme Court stay had been requested by the State Department and the White House.
