Zelenskyy To Follow Starmer in Pilgrimage to Washington

Ukraine’s no-longer-legitimate President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced he would be traveling to Washington on Friday, Feb. 28, in order to meet with President Donald Trump and make a deal involving Ukraine’s mineral wealth, in exchange for which he hopes to obtain some sort of security guarantee from the U.S. Some media accounts report that the deal could even be signed on the spot.

Financial Times claims to have seen the document in question, and FT reports: “The final version of the agreement, dated Feb. 24 and seen by the FT, would establish a fund into which Ukraine would contribute 50% of proceeds from the ‘future monetization’ of state-owned mineral resources, including oil and gas, and associated logistics. The fund would invest in projects in Ukraine.”
