March 22, 2025 (EIRNS)—The Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement on March 21 accusing the Kiev regime of attacking the Sudzha Gas Metering Station that day as its troops were withdrawing through the area, which they had controlled since Aug. 7, 2024, when Ukrainian (AFU) troops first entered the Kursk region. “The AFU units have been using the facility as one of their ‘secure’ logistics posts throughout the time,” the statement said. “Thus, the attack by the AFU troops retreating from the Kursk region against Russia’s important power facility is a deliberate provocation by the Kiev regime, which should be considered in a comprehensive set of recent strikes against Russia’s power infrastructure to discredit the U.S. President’s peace initiatives.”
The attacks by the Kiev regime on Russian energy infrastructure, including the strike on the Sudzha gas metering station, clearly illustrate the true value of the assurances coming from Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said during a March 21 news briefing, reported TASS. “The actions of the Kiev regime are well-documented in numerous media reports, and relevant footage has also been published. Therefore, it is evident how much we can trust the words of Zelenskyy and other representatives of the Kiev regime. This, by the way, is a point we have repeatedly emphasized in the dialogue with our partners.”
“This information speaks volumes about the untrustworthiness of Zelenskyy and his team,” Peskov stated.
