Finnish President Alexander Stubb claims that after he spent March 29 playing golf with President Trump, and buttered him up, Trump now understands that “President Putin cannot be trusted, but the Europeans can.” That accomplished (or so he wishes), he immediately flew to London to exchange notes with Prime Minister Keith Starmer. According to his Presidential office, while there, he also had a meeting scheduled with Richard Moore, Chief of the U.K. Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), as well as making an address to students at the London School of Economics,
Stubb as much as described himself as a British agent, when he met with Starmer today. He told reporters that he feels a little left out, because 75% of his family hold dual British-Finnish citizenship, and he does not. “I’m really glad to see the leadership [that] the U.K. is showing, not least in the war in Ukraine. And in many ways, in my mind, the U.K. is back, back in the game,” he declared. That wasn’t enough. “I think Finland and the U.K. are tied hip-to-hip and in so many places, including NATO and of course, JEF (Joint Expeditionary Force), which you guys founded,” he added.
