March 13, 2025 (EIRNS)—"They are taking him out on a plane by force without considering his health conditions,” the former Filipino president’s youngest daughter Veronica Duterte wrote on Instagram. Rodrigo Duterte was placed on a flight late on March 11 to The Hague, to be subjected to a kangaroo court on charges of murder in his war on drugs during his administration (2016-2022). Duterte withdrew the Philippines from the ICC during his presidency, when they threatened to arrest him over “extrajudicial murders” of drug dealers. The ICC says the murders took place before Duterte pulled out of the ICC, which means they still have jurisdiction.
Duterte’s daughter Sara Duterte, the country’s Vice President, who was subjected to an impeachment process by the henchmen of President Bongbong Marcos, departed Manila on March 12 to join her father, according to the Office of the Vice President.
