March 19, 2025 (EIRNS)—The outcry against Israel resuming its war of genocide against Gaza has been global. A small sampling of the condemnations by governments follows.
• The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement today saying that “Moscow deeply regrets the resumption of the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip. Experience shows that the issue of the release of hostages cannot be solved by violent methods. Russia strongly condemns all actions aimed at the death of peaceful civilians and the destruction of social infrastructure,” the statement said, reported TASS.
• Egypt condemned Israel’s resumption of its war in Gaza as a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire agreement. The Israeli attacks represent a “dangerous escalation which threatens to bring serious consequences for the stability of the region,” the government said in a statement, reported Al Ahram. Cairo reiterated its firm rejection of all Israeli assaults on Gaza intended to reignite regional tensions and hinder de-escalation efforts, the statement added. Moreover, Egypt called on the international community to act immediately to halt the Israeli aggression on Gaza and prevent the region from falling into another cycle of violence.
• “China is highly concerned about the current situation between Israel and Palestine,” said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning, calling for actions to “avoid any escalation” and prevent a larger humanitarian crisis, reported Al Mayadeen in a roundup of what it called “global outrage” against Israel.
