March 3, 2025 (EIRNS)—In comments to reporters this morning, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the situation around the settlement of the Ukraine conflict is not simple, and made the observation that Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy doesn’t want peace. “Russia continues its dialogue with Washington for the sake of normalizing bilateral relations, in terms of providing the necessary conditions for the normal functioning of our diplomatic missions, without which it is very difficult to discuss other issues,” Peskov said, reported TASS. “At the same time, Russia continues the special military operation in order to achieve all goals that were set from the very beginning.”
“The Kiev regime and Zelenskyy do not want peace,” Peskov further said. “They want the war to continue. So in this situation, of course, only Washington’s efforts and Moscow’s readiness will obviously not be enough. The Kiev regime refuses to settle the conflict through negotiations.”
