Lyndon and Helga LaRouche and their associate Dennis Small are featured prominently today in an excellent opinion piece by journalist Mempo Giardinelli published today in the Argentine daily Página 12 under the headline “Nobel Prize in Economics for Destroying Argentina.” This attack on the fascist “chainsaw” policies President Javier Milei is using to destroy Argentina is based on the article by Dennis Small, “Will Argentina’s President Milei Be Awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics?” which will appear in the April 3 issue of the weekly Executive Intelligence Review, for which Small is the editor for Ibero-America. Giardinelli points to Small’s “notable article,” available in Spanish on EIR’s Resumen Ejecutivo page, which begins with LaRouche’s exact quote from his book So You Wish To Learn All About Economics? in which he explains that the “principal work” of any candidate elected to receive the Nobel Prize in economics “flourishes with abominable incompetence … affirmed by some national catastrophe somewhere caused by adherence to this doctrine.” He quotes Small saying that “by all rights, Javier Milei, the circumstantial President of Argentina, is now a serious contender for the Nobel award.”
