March 28, 2025 (EIRNS)—On March 27, Bethlehem-based Palestinian Christian pastor and theologian Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac released his latest book, Christ in the Rubble: Faith, the Bible, and the Genocide in Gaza which challenges especially mainstream Christians with their often unquestioning, uncritical support of Israel’s apartheid system. His book calls on Christians to “bring a properly Christian theological criticism to bear upon colonialism, racism, and empire” that have existed in Palestinian territories for decades. Isaac challenges Christians to “realign their beliefs and actions with Christ—Who can be found not among perpetrators of violence, but with victims buried under the rubble of war.”
Dr. Isaac is making a book tour in the United States in the coming days, including stops in Boston, New York City, and Washington, D.C.
