March 26, 2025 (EIRNS)—The White Paper on Defense presented by EU diplomatic head Kaja Kallas on March 19 has nothing to do with European defense. “Having read the paper, it is evident that the correct title is ‘ReArm Ukraine,’” military expert Ruggero Stanglini wrote in Italian defense publication Analisi Difesa.

The paper states that the ReArm Europe plan aims at rebuilding the European defense, and in particular to replenish stockpiles of ammunition, weapons and other military equipment which is “essential to maintain and increase support for Ukraine,” which, as the document points out, “represents the most urgent and pressing task for European defense.”

The leitmotif of support for Kiev is repeated with obsessive cadence, considering that in the 23 pages that make up the document Ukraine is mentioned 51 times, compared to 39 for Europe (which is supposed to be the main subject), 15 for Russia, 7 for China and 3 for the United States.
