March 25, 2025 (EIRNS)—"Instead of inspiring universal condemnation, the October 7 holocaust triggered a global wave of anti-Semitism. Ivy league campuses became a greenhouse for poison,” wrote Health and Human Services Secretary RFK, Jr. on March 24, in a statement that essentially trivializes the actual Holocaust. “President Trump has ordered his cabinet to use every constitutional tool to uproot this divisive weed.”

Among those means has been the pressure exerted by the Joint Task Force To Combat Anti-Semitism, threatening the withdrawal of some $400 million in federal funding for Columbia University and research projects it hosts.

Columbia caved, and Kennedy rejoiced. “I’m glad Columbia has agreed to this first step and will begin to restore itself as a garden of tolerance, reason, compassion, and respect,” he said.
