March 18, 2025 (EIRNS)—On March 18, some 80,000 files relating to the John F. Kennedy assassination were released. “President Trump is ushering in a new era of maximum transparency. Today, per his direction, previously redacted JFK Assassination Files are being released to the public with no redactions,” Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said of the release. “Promises made, promises kept,” she added.

Reports indicate that many of the documents had already been made public during previous releases. But, according to AP, it is estimated that around 3,000 of the new files had not been released, either in whole or in part. And last month the FBI said it had discovered about 2,400 new records related to the assassination.
