Trump Revokes Security Clearances of Biden, Clinton, Harris, among Others

March 23, 2025 (EIRNS)—In a March 22 Presidential Memorandum, President Trump said that he has “determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access classified information: [former Secretary of State] Antony Blinken, [former National Security Adviser] Jacob Sullivan, [former Deputy Attorney General] Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, [former U.S. ambassador to the Czech Republic] Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, [former federal prosecutor] Andrew Weissmann, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Cheney, Kamala Harris, [lawyer] Adam Kinzinger, [former White House Russia expert] Fiona Hill, retired Lt. Col. } Alexander Vindman, Joseph R. Biden Jr., and any other member of Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s family. Therefore, I hereby direct every executive department and agency head to take all additional action as necessary and consistent with existing law to revoke any active security clearances held by the aforementioned individuals and to immediately rescind their access to classified information. I also direct all executive department and agency heads to revoke unescorted access to secure United States Government facilities from these individuals.

“This action includes, but is not limited to, receipt of classified briefings, such as the President’s Daily Brief, and access to classified information held by any member of the Intelligence Community by virtue of the named individuals’ previous tenure in the Congress.”Many of those named were involved in legal cases against Trump, including the second impeachment in January 2021.

It has been a traditional courtesy that former Presidents are allowed access to daily intelligence briefings and classified intelligence, which would allow them to advise the incumbent President. However, Trump [pointed out that it was Biden who broke that tradition when he took office in 2021, revoking intelligence access to Trump.

Separately, on Jan. 26, “Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Jan. 28 revoked the personal security detail and security clearance for retired Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, who served as the nation’s highest-ranking military officer during Trump’s first term,” reported Zero Hedge.

On March 17, President Trump revoked the Secret Service protection for Hunter Biden and his half-sister Ashley Biden, and posted the announcement on his Truth Social account. Lifelong Secret Service protection is provided to former Presidents and their spouses, but under normal procedures, members of their immediate family are removed from this service when they leave office.
