March 4, 2025 (EIRNS)—Reports began emerging on March 3, Monday evening, that President Trump had decided to suspend military aid to Ukraine. “This is not permanent termination of aid, it’s a pause,” a Trump administration official told Fox News. Then on March 4, Trump senior advisor Jason Miller confirmed the news to CNN. “President Trump is the only person, the only person talking about stopping the killing, and sometimes leaders can use the carrot, sometimes they can use the stick,” Miller said, indicating that the move is part of a campaign to pressure Zelenskyy to negotiate.

The decision affects over $1 billion in weapons and ammunition deliveries to Ukraine.

According to the Kyiv Independent, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed that aid had been suspended. “This is an emergency,” Tusk said.
