Von der Leyen Announces Security College, Obtains Approval from Self-Emasculated EU Parliament

March 12, 2025 (EIRNS)—On March 9, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen celebrated the first 100 days of her second mandate with a press conference in which she announced, among other things, the creation of an EU Security College and a new Savings and Investment Union plan, to be presented soon.

The Security College is composed of all 27 commissioners and will gather regularly to discuss security issues.

Through the Union of Savings and Investments, “we will transform private savings into necessary investments. And we will work with our institutional partners to get them off the ground,” von der Leyen said. What this means, is that like Nazi Economics Minister Hjalmar Schacht, the EU will find ways to channel private savings into her “Rearm Europe” military buildup.
