March 1, 2025 (EIRNS)—Ukraine’s Volodymr Zelenskyy showed in a Fox News interview last night that he learned nothing from the blowup at the White House with President Donald Trump. “I am not sure we did something bad,” he said. “I respect President Trump and the American people, but we have to be very honest and direct to understand each other,” Zelenskyy said when Fox asked whether he regrets the exchange with Trump and Vance. He did say he thinks this discussion would have been better if it hadn’t taken place in front of the cameras. “It was not good,” he said. “I think this kind of spat is not good for both sides.” Zelenskyy stressed that he thinks his relationship with Trump can be salvaged.
A White House official told Axios Zelenskyy’s interview on Fox was insufficient. “He keeps insisting on security guarantees on this economic deal and we’ve made clear that won’t be part of this,” the official said.
