Estonia Demands To End Hungary's EU Voting Rights

Estonia’s Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna has called for the EU to deprive Hungary of its voting rights within the EU, in order to ensure that sanctions against Russia stay in place, reported RT on April 5. The Foreign Minister made these comments in an interview with Germany’s April 5 Rheinische Post.

The Foreign Minister accused Hungary of “playing on Putin’s team” and not on the European Union team. He emphasized that currently, Hungary has the ability to block unanimous decisions made by the EU on foreign and security policies.
