Lavrov Tells ‘Face the Nation’ U.S.- Russia Talks Moving in Right Direction

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in an interview with CBS News anchor Margaret Brennan for the broadcast of Sunday’s program “Face the Nation,” told her: “The President of the United States believes, and I think rightly so, that we are moving in the right direction.” Lavrov would not give any details about what was being discussed in the negotiations. “We are ready to reach a deal, but there are still some specific elements of the deal which need to be fine-tuned, and we are busy with this exact process. The negotiations continue, and until the end of the negotiations, we cannot disclose what it is about,” Lavrov said.
