Netanyahu to Washington on Monday, April 7: Iran on the Agenda

Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu is expected at the White House on April 7 at Trump’s invitation, ostensibly to “discuss tariffs” with Trump. According to Haaretz, Netanyahu spoke with Trump by phone on April 4 from Budapest, in the presence of his host, Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and mentioned the issue of tariffs, according to a member of his delegation. He also spoke with Rubio on the tariff issue and on Gaza. Trump has imposed a 17% tariff on certain Israeli products. However, the actual agenda is, as expected, broader, with Iran’s nuclear capability and Turkish involvement in Syria named by Israel Hayom as the other two items that Netanyahu will bring to Washington.
