Top Iranian Diplomat Says Iran Still Committed To Not Seeking Nuclear Weapon

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reiterated yesterday that Tehran will never seek to acquire nuclear weapons, reminding the U.S. of the absurdity of military options for dealing with Iran. Writing an April 1 post to his X account, Araghchi stressed: The President of the United States, or “POTUS may not like the 2015 nuclear deal. But it contains one vital commitment by Iran which remains in place, and which even the US—being out of the deal—has benefited from:

‘Iran reaffirms that under no circumstances will Iran ever seek, develop or acquire any nuclear weapons.’
