Trump Fired Three or More National Security Council Staffers After Laura Loomer Briefing

The news frenzy of the day is President Donald Trump’s meeting on April 2 in the White House with Laura Loomer, a right-wing journalist and long-time supporter of his, a meeting which resulted, the media say, in the firing of three (some say as many as ten) National Security Council staffers. Loomer is said to have given Trump the results of her “research” on those disloyal to him in the National Security Council. She was gunning for the “neocons” in the NSC staff, say JewishInsider’s sources.

Trump has confirmed that some people have been fired, but says not on her recommendation. He said instead, that she had given him some recommendations of people who would be good to bring into the administration, and he had listened to her the way “I listen to everybody, and then I make a decision.”

Loomer has earlier posted names of those she declares to be disloyal, Zero Hedge reports, “including Deputy National Security Adviser Alex Wong, who, she says, added a journalist from The Atlantic to a DoD Signal chat on behalf of his boss, National Security Adviser Michael Waltz.” Wong was not among those fired, at least not yet. According to the New York Times’ leakers, Waltz was in on the meeting with Loomer in the White House, as was Vice President Vance, Sergio Gor ( Director Presidential Personnel Office), White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and White House Communications Director Steven Cheung.

Zero Hedge also notes: “The rest of the Times report amounts to a character assassination on Loomer, which was to be expected—writing that ‘Loomer’s rhetoric and actions have been so extreme that she has alienated others even on the far right.’”
