President Donald Trump issued another one of his wild statements yesterday, threatening the Houthis of Yemen and Iran. “The Iran-backed Houthi Terrorists have been decimated by the relentless strikes over the past two weeks. Many of their Fighters and Leaders are no longer with us,” he claimed in a Truth Social posting. “We hit them every day and night—Harder and harder. Their capabilities that threaten Shipping and the Region are rapidly being destroyed. Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to Freedom of Navigation. The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at U.S. ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran.”

Since then, reports have emerged of additional air strikes in Yemen. At about 10 p.m. EDT, March 31, U.S. Central Command posted a statement on X saying “CENTCOM Forces continue attacks on Houthi Positions….” The statement is accompanied by two videos, one showing F-18 fighter jets launching from the USS Harry S. Truman and the second showing a missile firing from one of the Truman’s escorts.

The Russian Telegram channel Rybar also posted a report claiming that four of the B-2 bombers deployed to Diego Garcia participated in strikes in northern Yemen. According to the report, the bombers struck three targets in the As-Sakin area near Saada in northern Yemen. According to some reports, a meeting of high-ranking members of the movement was taking place there. Communication facilities and infrastructure in the Amran and Saada provinces were also hit.
