Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said on May 9 that Kyiv’s hope for victory over Russia is “doomed.” Since 2022, Radev has spoken out against the EU delivering military aid to Ukraine’s regime.
“What is even more worrying is that Europe does not have its vision for ending the war in Ukraine and establishing peace, and continues to invest in a doomed cause with the utopian hope that with more arms pouring Ukraine will be brought to negotiations from a position of power, while every day exactly the opposite is happening—even more victims, destruction and lost territory.
