Overnight, and through the course of the day, at least 115 more Gazan Palestinians, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, were confirmed dead, killed by the Israel Defense Forces. There were also more bodies trapped underneath rubble, which the Ministry could not include in their confirmed figure. A significant portion of the bombing occurred around the European Hospital in Khan Younis. As quoted by London’s The Times, the Ministry stated: “The European Hospital in Gaza is not operational as a result of the latest attacks. The strike caused substantial damage to infrastructure, such as sewer lines, damage to internal wards and roads leading to the hospital.”

Yesterday, U.S. President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff held a two-hour call with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. The Times of Israel reported that Netanyahu refused to bend on his newest, add-on demand, that Hamas turn over half of the hostages prior to any talks of a temporary truce. Previously, Netanyahu had reneged on the agreement signed in January to conduct negotiations to end the assault on Gaza. After that, Witkoff tried to get him to agree to negotiate for more hostages in exchange for merely a temporary truce, allowing Netanyahu to renew his extermination campaign after several weeks. Now Netanyahu, in raising his price even higher, has clearly thrown up a wall designed not to be scaled.
