The magazine Cicero has published the 1,000-plus page report ("expertise") of the German intelligence service BfV that ostensibly proves that AfD is a “extremist right-wing” party. It seems that the report contains no information that justified its classification, i.e., no information coming from BfV’s covert intelligence. It has only public statements from AfD rank and file and leadership members, which fit into the category of “discriminating.” This makes the chances for these charges to stand against a vigorous legal challenge quite meager, and may be the reason why the BfV has “suspended” the “extremist” classification until the court issues a sentence on the emergency legal challenge launched by the AfD.
