Following the successful China-CELAC Forum in mid-May, which was attended by Mexican Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Mexico is now sending a delegation headed by the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico Sergio Gutiérrez Luna from today, May 19 to May 23, at the invitation of Zhao Leji, chairman of China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee.
Global Times reported May 18 that: “Mexico will strengthen cooperation between the two countries in areas such as connectivity, science and technology, agriculture, tourism and direct flights, and constantly enrich the substance of Mexico-China relations, de la Fuente said when Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met him in Beijing last week, according to the Xinhua News Agency.”
