Peskov Reports Russia Not Yet Decided on Vatican Offer

Whereas some media are representing U.S. President Donald Trump’s reference to the Vatican offer to host Ukraine-Russia peace talks as though it had been decided as the mediating place, no decision has been taken, said Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov. “Everyone knows about the Pope’s initiative. The Vatican issued a corresponding statement. Of course, the Russian side appreciates any effort to contribute. However, no specific arrangements have been confirmed regarding the venue for future discussions,” he said, according to TASS.
