Speaking May 19 at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Board Event in Washington, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told the dinner guests that President Donald Trump is committed to pursuing peace. The event was broadcast by Forbes Breaking News.
Rubio, who had that morning been at the Vatican and had met with Pope Leo XIV, stated, “One of the cardinals I was meeting the day before the papal mass said to me, ‘It’s very unusual for us. We have an American President who wants peace, and it’s some Europeans who are constantly talking about doing war.’ So, the world is kind of upside down in their minds right now.”
