Trump Returns from Mideast with $2 Trillion in Deals, But Gaza Will Be the Test

Trump returned from his visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the U.A.E. with around promises of $2 trillion in commercial deals, largely consisting of purchases of Boeing jets. While these investments, if realized, will no doubt create more employment, it is a far cry from reviving the U.S. economy. He also came back to a number of hurdles for his program with regard to the migrants. The Supreme Court had ruled that he did not have the authority under the Alien Enemies Act to arbitrarily deport illegal aliens. Congress has also failed to support his “Big Beautiful Tax Bill.” Now that he is back he may succeed in pressuring those Republicans who had big trouble passing this legislation.
