Uganda Suspends Military and Defense Ties with Germany, Claims Ambassador 'Engaged in Subversive Activities'

Uganda has “suspended all ongoing defense and military cooperation activities” with Germany as of May 25. Colonel Chris Magezi, spokesman for the Uganda People’s Defense Force, wrote on X.

The move comes in the context of attacks on Germany’s Ambassador to Uganda, Mathias Schauer, who “is actively engaged in subversive activities” according to Magezi.
