Austria Supports Resumption of Importing Gas from Russia

Austria, after Slovakia and Hungary, has become the third European country ready to resume imports of Russian gas. At the meeting of European foreign ministers in Luxembourg yesterday, Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger said that there is now the opportunity to review the situation concerning the resumption of Russian energy imports. If a peace agreement is reached in Ukraine and the ban against imports cancelled, gas could again come from Russia.
