German Retired Citizens Poverty Seventh Highest in Europe

In Europe, the poverty level is defined as below 50% of the median income for citizens over 65. In Germany, 14.1% of the senior population is below the poverty line. Estonia, Latvia, Croatia, Lithuania, Switzerland and the U.K. are even worse. Compared to actual income, Germany is among the top 10, which does not help because the cost of living is so high in Germany.
