Iran's Foreign Minister Says Agreement Still Possible

“We are prepared for any agreement aimed at ensuring Iran does not pursue nuclear weapons,” Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas Araghchi said on June 15. But no agreement that “deprives Iran of its nuclear rights,” including the right to enrich uranium for civilian purposes, could be accepted, he said, according to the New York Times.

Israel attacked not to pre-empt Iran’s race for a bomb, he said, but to derail negotiations with the United States. He called the attacks “an attempt to undermine diplomacy and derail negotiations.”
