Italian Military Officers and Experts Agree: British Are Behind the Ukrainian Attack

Lt. Gen. (ret.) Maurizio Boni, Brig. Gen. (ret.) Francesco Cosimato and Analisi Difesa editor Gianandrea Gaiani agree that the British organized the recent Ukrainian attack on five Russian strategic military airfields. In two separate interviews with Italian journalist and analyst Giacomo Gabellini, the three experts contended that only the British had the indispensable capability to plan and execute the operation, including infiltration and exfiltration. Their view is that Trump was not informed.

“We need to look at one main party that is responsible, perhaps with some secondary ones too, and that is Great Britain,” Gaiani said. “Not only because these kinds of raids are in the DNA of British forces… but also because Zelenskyy is in the hands of the British. His bodyguards, the men guarding the halls of power in Kyiv, are not Ukrainian. There are about a thousand British contractors. Zelenskyy survives because the British support him.”

The June 1 attack could have had the goal of exacerbating relations between the U.S. and Russia, in order to sabotage Trump’s role, undermine his initiative, and derail the Istanbul negotiations, Gaiani said. In reality, “even Hitler was bombing London with V1 and V2 rockets in 1944 and early 1945, but he certainly wasn’t winning the war—and this doesn’t change what’s happening on the battlefield, which is a Russian breakthrough in Sumy, advances in Donetsk, and possibly soon in Kharkiv, and in my view, they’ll attack Zaporizhzhia next.”
