Interim President of the Republic of Mali Assimi Goïta is on a six-day landmark official visit to the Russian Federation. On June 23 he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.
In comments during the meeting, President Putin said there were “promising areas for cooperation such as geological exploration, natural resource development, energy, logistics, and, as I mentioned earlier, humanitarian projects.”
For his part, President Goïta said their countries “enjoy good bilateral relations…. Thanks to this partnership, we are achieving positive results.”
