President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social today that he was dropping Jared Isaacman as his nominee for NASA Administrator. Isaacman had passed muster in the Senate Commerce Committee, and was heading for a hearing before the entire Senate this week. Venture capitalist Isaacman was an associate of Elon Musk and Musk’s favorite candidate for the post of NASA Administrator. (Musk leaving the Administration under a cloud may have influenced Trump’s decision.)
