U.S. President Donald Trump, according to the Times of Israel, said that he covered a variety of issues with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today, including the ongoing Iran nuclear talks. He said that we’ll next meet “with Iran on Thursday,” June 12, and that, “We’re trying to make a deal so that there’s no destruction and death.” They are “tough negotiators.”
Asked by reporters about the still-stuck hostage talks between Israel and Hamas, Trump says they are ongoing “and Iran actually is involved.” He offered the not very helpful comment: “We’ll see what’s going to happen with Gaza. We want to get the hostages back.” He said the call with Netanyahu went “very well.”
