The high-level UN conference on a two-state solution for Palestine and Israel, planned for June 17-20 in New York, has been postponed due to the Israeli attack on Iran and subsequent security and logistical concerns.

French President Emmanuel Macron, co-sponsor of the event along with Saudi Arabia, announced on Friday, June 13, “While we have to postpone this conference for logistical and security reasons, it will take place as soon as possible.” Macron reiterated France’s “determination” to recognize a Palestinian State “under any circumstances.”
