U.S. Intel Briefed Senate: Still No Evidence Iran Is Pursuing Nuclear Weapons

Sen Mark Warner (D-VA), vice chairman of the Intelligence Committee, reported on MSNBC yesterday that the intelligence briefing senators received this week conveyed that there is still no evidence of Iran pursuing nuclear weapons, the same evaluation as in March. Warner noted that in March, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard had stated that Iran had “taken no steps toward building a bomb…. And we got reconfirmed, as early as Monday of this week, that the intelligence hasn’t changed. And then you’ve got the President basically dismissing all of the intelligence.”
