According to a new report by Axios, the White House believes that Israeli Prime MInister Benjamin Netanyahu is undermining President Donald Trump’s efforts at achieving peace. They cite three different White House officials.
One official, after the onset of Israel’s attack on Syria’s presidential palace, said: “Bibi is acting like a madman. He’s constantly bombing everything.” Another U.S. official highlighted that the recent shelling of a church in Gaza prompted a reportedly irate Trump to personally call Netanyahu for an explanation. “It feels like there’s a new crisis every day. What the hell is going on?” And a third official spoke of the increasing doubt the administration is experiencing over Netanyahu, describing him as impulsive and difficult to manage. “Sometimes Netanyahu is like a misbehaving child.”
