GGN, a major news portal oriented to Brazilian left-leaning nationalists, published the lead editorial of the July 5 EIR Daily Alert as an opinion column the next day, on the first day of the BRICS Summit in Brazil. With Dennis Small identified as the author on the story headlined, “All Eyes Are on Rio,” GGN added the kicker: “The attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities sent a clear message to the nations of the Global South, which are demanding an end to 500 years of colonial policies.” It ran the editorial in full, including its final paragraph:
“The Schiller Institute and The LaRouche Organization have long maintained that the best policy for the United States and Western Europe is to join with the BRICS in creating such a new, development-oriented system, rather than remain under the yoke of the collapsing Wall Street system. All eyes are properly on Rio over the next few days, to see what steps the BRICS take towards the needed new international security and development architecture.”
