The holding of secret talks between Israel and Russia over Iran and Syria Israeli state broadcaster Kan is claiming, as reported on July 2. These “high-level diplomatic talks” allegedly “began about a week” after the end of Israel’s June 13-24 military campaign against Iran, according to TASS.
The contact was reportedly made in light of Moscow’s signs of its readiness to “act as a mediator” between Iran and Israel. The Kan report pointed out that “Moscow did not arm Tehran” during the 12-day conflict. In addition, the Israeli side maintains contacts with Russia “in connection with efforts to achieve a political solution” regarding Syria, Kan claims.
