Dozens of peaceful protesters were arrested in London for supporting Palestine Action, a pro-Palestinian organization that was recently banned in the U.K. as a terrorist organization. An 83-year-old woman, Rev. Sue Parfitt, was among those arrested. She was holding a sign reading only: “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.”
“Palestine Action has now been proscribed by the U.K. Government and expressing support for them is a criminal offense,” warned the Metropolitan Police. “This includes chanting, wearing clothing or displaying articles such as flags, signs or logos.”
