In an extensive interview published July 2 by Jewish Insider, the Executive Chairman of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), Christian Zionist Rev. Johnnie Moore, claimed hysterically that the accusations made against GHF’s food distribution operation, at whose Gaza food distribution sites hungry Palestinians are being deliberately gunned down daily by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), are “false narratives,” lies and disinformation. On the defensive about widespread media reports documenting the killing sprees going on at GHF sites, which may have influenced the Swiss government moves to shut down its operation in that country (see separate slug), Moore told the “Mideast Horizons” podcast sponsored by the Misgav Institute for National Security, that aid organizations, especially the United Nations, have deliberately sabotaged GHF’s food distribution operation from the moment it began. Jewish Insider’s Lahav Harkov co-hosted the podcast.
Echoing charges by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Bibi Netanyahu himself, Moore argued that the majority of UN food aid entering Gaza is going to Hamas and when the UN denies that “it is lying through its teeth.” The “vast majority” of aid that went into the Gaza Strip for “many, many, many years” was immediately diverted to Hamas and used for “various nefarious” purposes, he said. “I’m not talking about some of the aid, I’m talking about almost all of the aid.”
So now, he explained, he’s trying to “equally and directly” distribute aid to Gazans without it being used to “prolong a conflict or hoard.” Reports that civilians are being killed at GHF distribution sites are just a “very intentional disinformation campaign,” Moore insisted, to scare Gazans away from seeking food from the GHF and to scare off donors such as the European Union. He wouldn’t reveal, however, who actually funds GHF, saying only that funds came from just a couple of countries, but “not Israel.”
