While the negotiators for Israel and the U.S. were pulled out of Doha yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended a celebration of the life of Zeev Jabotinsky, the racist ideologue, father to an abomination to Judaism, the current ethnic-cleansing crowd around Netanyahu. Netanyahu issued a warning: “If Hamas understands our readiness to reach a deal as weakness, as an opportunity to dictate terms of surrender to us that will endanger Israel, it is greatly mistaken. We are determined to achieve all the aims of the war. We are determined to bring everyone back, and that is what we will do.”
In reacting to France’s decision to belatedly recognize Palestine as a state, the prime minister went further: “We strongly condemn President Macron’s decision.... Such a move rewards terrorism and creates the possibility of establishing another Iranian outpost, as happened in Gaza. A Palestinian state under these conditions would be a base for launching the destruction of Israel—not for living in peace beside it. Let’s be clear: the Palestinians are not seeking a state alongside Israel; they are seeking a state in place of Israel.”
Netanyahu’s Heritage Minister Amichay Eliyahu went further, bragging on Israeli radio: “The government is racing ahead for Gaza to be wiped out. Thank God, we are wiping out this evil. We are pushing this population that has been educated on Mein Kampf.... All Gaza will be Jewish.” (He later allowed that any Arab that is loyal to this type of Jewish state might be allowed to remain in Gaza.) He then denied that Gazans are not getting enough food, calling it a campaign against Israel.... There’s no hunger in Gaza. But we don’t need to be concerned with hunger in the Strip. Let the world worry about it.”
