Iran Responds to Germany’s Denunciation of Its Suspending Cooperation with the IAEA

The German Foreign Ministry, in a statement as arrogant as that of Tammy Bruce at the U.S. State Department, denounced the Iranian suspension of cooperation with the IAEA as a “a devastating message” that “eliminates any possibility of international oversight of the Iranian nuclear program, which is crucial for a diplomatic solution.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi denounced the German statement as “fake news.”

“Iran remains committed to the NPT and its Safeguards Agreement,” he said on X. “In accordance with the new legislation by Majlis, sparked by the unlawful attacks against our nuclear facilities by Israel and the U.S., our cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency will be channeled through Iran’s Supreme National Security Council for obvious safety and security reasons.
