Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi told NBC News in an interview in Tehran yesterday that Iran intends to continue uranium enrichment, but will not further retaliate for the June 21 U.S. strikes on its nuclear facilities. “As long as there is no act of aggression being perpetrated by the United States against us, we will not respond again,” he said.
Takht-Ravanchi asked “how can we trust the Americans?” following the attacks during negotiations with the U.S. “We want them to explain as to why they misled us, why they took such an egregious action against our people,” he added.
