After having promised Donald Trump to buy €750 billion worth of LNG with money that she does not have, and her deal being criticized by all EU member countries, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen doubled down on her disastrous decision at a press conference. Journalists wondered what the EU Commission President had smoked that day, as she insisted that U.S. liquefied natural gas is cheaper than Russian pipeline gas.
