All UN Security Council Members Except U.S. Demand End of Gaza Famine

The UN Security Council yesterday issued a statement declaring the famine in Gaza to be man-made, by nearly all of its 15 members, that is, except for the United States. “Famine in Gaza must be stopped immediately,” the statement reads, reported Reuters. “Time is of the essence. The humanitarian emergency must be addressed without delay and Israel must reverse course.” It warns that the use of starvation as a weapon of war is banned under international humanitarian law.
